Looking for a creative, yet useful way to use up all those stash socks yarns??? This design pairs up two contrasting yarn colors to create a classic plaid coaster.

Worked in the round with slipped stitches and fingering yarns held double-stranded, the result is a heavy, double-sided reversible coaster.

Create a classic buffalo plaid… warm mocha plaid… or create a unique plaid from any two solid-colored stash fingering yarns. The possibilities are endless!

Recommended needles are #7 DPNs (set of 4) - circular needles with Magic Loop technique are not recommended

Total amount of yard is about 45 yds, divided between the two colors. Fingering yarns with some acrylic in them work best for the heavy steam blocking needed to flatten and shape the coaster, but 100% wool yarns may be used as well.
