With this pattern I have created a simple comfortable sock with an afterthought heel and with a gusset of sorts. This is to ensure a really comfortable fit without any uncomfortable stretching over the gusset. There are extra stitches at the gusset area which are then decreased down the foot for a perfect “foot hugging” fit. The cuff is very relaxed and do not cinch in at all.
The pattern is perfect for those wildly variegated, hand spun or self striping yarns that can drown out the more intricate patterns.
