New to short row shaping? You’ll get plenty of practice in this very unusual and stunning scarf, where it is used to great effect.

The scarf is quadrilateral in shape, with one end narrower than the other. There are 2 asymmetric wavy lines all along the length of the scarf giving an unusual yet attractive look. I wanted to create a unique design for a scarf, with vibrant colours similar to the Moroccan spices, to brighten up the short & dull days of winter. At the same time I wanted it to be warm, silky and light hence the use of the beautiful luxurious kidsilk yarn.

Kidsilk Haze knits beautifully, and it is an absolute treat. It is versatile as it can be knitted double or single strand or with another yarn and get a completely different effect. It comes in many colours, but the thing I love most is that I can create additional exciting shades by combining 2 strands of different colours and still produce a light, soft and luxurious knitwear.
