notes
Fishbone Lace is completely reversible…there is no right or wrong side, only this side and that side. This eliminates the compulsion to keep your scarf “right side out,” and, really, life is too short for that. The principles of the lace pattern are simple and thus this scarf is a fine pattern for a beginning lace knitter.

Gauge does not need to be precise for this project, as long as the texture is open and loose. Please keep in mind that gauge variation will affect yardage requirements.
