“Martie” has a deep square neckline and open mock cabled panels down the front back and sleeves. It looks great over a cami or shirt. The Shepherd’s wool is very nice and soft against the skin so you could wear it alone if you like a low cut neckline. The color here is Autumn Gold.
You will need circular needles and DPNs sizes US 8 and 6 (or size needed to get gauge). Three hanks will make the size 32” with very little yarn left over so if you plan on making the sleeves or body longer you will need four hanks for that size.
The pullover is knit flat from the top down and then joined at the bottom of the square neckline for working in the round. The open mock cable panel repeat is easy to memorize. Once you get the set up row going it is a breeze to knit. There is very minimal finishing required-just weave in the yarn ends and block.
It is designed to be worn with negative ease. I am wearing the size 32” I have a 36.5 inch bustline. Keep this in mind when selecting a size to knit. For a more relaxed fit, pick a size with a bust/hip measurement closer to your own. You can also omit the waist shaping if desired.
