Martin
Martin mitts are a unisex, textured mitt pattern that are fun and easy to knit. Named after the pessimistic philosopher, Martin, from Candide, this makes the fifth installment to my Candide Collection. It makes a perfect match to the Pangloss Hat, if sets are your thing. ;o)
Final Dimensions: 6” (7”, 8”) circumference x 7.25” length. Model is wearing 7” circumference with a hand circumference of 6.5”.
Gauge: 22sts x 31rows = 4” x 4” 10cm x 10cm in st st, in the round.
Materials:
Yarn: 95 (120, 145) yds Tell Tale Yarns Tidal Twinkle (231yds/100g; 75% Merino, 20% Nylon, 5% Metallic)
Needles: US 5 3.75mm DPNs or your preferred method of knitting small circumferences in the round. Or size to obtain gauge.
Notions:
5 st markers (1 for beginning of round, 2 for thumb gusset, 2 for st pattern), tapestry needle, waste yarn.
