Pattern description from Knitting Little Luxuries: This hat is an excellent introduction to Fair Isle knitting: The yarn is held double throughout, making it quick to knit up, and the two-color pattern creates a lovely result without juggling several strands of yarn. The finished hat is very warm and ideal for a knitted gift, especially for the holiday season.

Finished Size: About 20” (51cm) circumference at lower edge and 19” (48.5cm) circumference in Fair Isle area.

Yarn: DK weight (#3 Light).
Louisa Harding Grace (50% merino wool, 50% silk; 110 yd 101 m/50 g): #4 rose (pink), 2 balls, and #6 cherry (red), 1 ball.

Needles: U.S. size 9 (5.5 mm) and U.S. size 10 (6 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
