Sophisticated and sure to turn heads, the Mary Jo Hat is reminiscent of the 20’s and 30’s and is designed to keep you extra warm. The double fabric brim is attached seamlessly to the full and bouffant top with my own easy knitting technique that is illustrated in the instructions.

Wear this hat one of two stylish ways. The first way is a classic vintage look with the top overlaying the brim. The second is a contemporary way as a puffy slouch.

The Mary Jo hat is knit using two strands of worsted weight held together. The densely knitted fabric provides the warmth needed on blustery days.

Materials:
Approximately 300 yards of #4 worsted weight yarn which will be held double or
150 yards of #5 bulky weight held single if it produces the correct gauge.

For a one color hat: two balls of 150 yards each
For a two color hat: brim – two balls of 72 yards each; top – two balls of 78 yards each
