The publication of this variation of my old design Masgot was meant to be. A couple of years later here it is :) This time I used single ply yarns beautifully dyed by my husband and most loved collaborator - Martin’s Lab;) He even created kits in the original colors for you which you can find here.

If you purchase 5 of my self-published designs at the same time (they need to be in the same cart), you will get the least expensive for free!

Also, if you have purchased the Masgot shawl before, if you add both in the cart now, they will cost $10 together. The promo runs indefinitely. No code needed. Happy knitting!

The wrap is knit flat from end to end. It is worked primarily in alternating 2-row stripes of Garter stitch. Thirteen inserts of a third accent color are shaped with short rows and give the shawl a slightly irregular shape.

Size
One: approx. 50 cm/20” wide and 190 cm/75” long.

Yarn
5 skeins in 3 colors of Martin’s Lab Merino Singles (100% 1-ply merino wool; 366m/400y per 100g).
Shown in CC1 – Inferno (2 skeins), CC2 – Altair (2 skeins), CC3 - Warsaw Flamingo (1 skein).
Or 3 colors of any other fingering weight yarn with similar yardage, which gives you the correct gauge.

Needles
3.5 mm/US #4 circular needle (80 cm/32” long).

Other
tapestry needle for weaving.

Gauge
28 sts and 36 rows = 10 cm/4” in Garter st measured flat after wet blocking.
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
