This pattern is based on Meher Baba’s ‘Mastery in Servitude’ symbol (unfortunately I had to loose a lot of details in order to fit it into a coaster). I thought it will make a perfect gift for Mother’s day.

Pattern include 4 charts:
2 variations on the symbol
2 slight variations of the first 2 charts (fuller color)

Use needles # 7 or 8 US / 4.5 or 5mm
Natural fiber (such as cotton) is best, but not a must.
Knit time about 2 hours per coaster in double knitting.

The pattern can also be used in stranding, intarsia or crochet.
It can be made into a hot pad or potholder by adding few rows & sts, or included in another knitting like a scarf, a pocket, pillow…

Mainly - I hope you’ll have fun and make something very loving.
