This easy colorwork hat was originally designed for beginners. However, experienced knitters can also enjoy it. The unisex motifs and multiple sizes are perfect for gift for the whole family and friends. This pattern has been tested by five beginner knitters and they successfully made it.

YARN
Ice Yarn Comfort Baby (50% superfine nylon, 50% superfine acrylic, 207y/3.5oz 190m/100g.
1 skein of each color: Grey (Main Color), Yellow (Contrasting Color 1), White (Contrasting Color 2).
This yarn is listed as worsted weight.
Samples are knitted with Green (made in size M) and Blue (made in size L) as Contrasting Color 1.

NEEDLES
1 pair of US-5 3.75mm and US-7 4.5mm in 15” 40cm long circular needles.
1 set of US-7 4.5mm DPN (optional).
Or use any knitting needles size(s) to obtain the correct gauge.

OTHER SUPPLIES
1 piece of tapestry needle to weave in the yarn ends.
1 piece of stitch marker.

GAUGE
22 sts x 26 rounds = 4 x 4” 10 x 10cm in chart, blocked, relaxed.
Always make a gauge swatch before knitting the whole project to avoid any measuring mistakes.

SIZES
S (M, L)
Size S can fit children aged 4-7 years old.
Size M can fit children aged 8-11 years old.
Size L can fit most adults.

The pompom used in the samples are faux fur pompoms. You can also make your own pompom from your left-over yarns from this project.
