Mattingly is an infinity scarf that looks an awful lot like an infinity scarf available at a pricy department store.

The pattern requires you to knit some stitches a few rows below, and if you are unfamiliar with this technique, there is a tutorial included with the pattern with step-by-step pictures.

The finished size after blocking (using wool yarn) is 60” in circumference and 9” wide. You may find if you use a different fiber that your yarn blocks differently, but gauge isn’t always crucial when knitting scarves.

The model shown took 280 yards of bulky-weight yarn at 11 sts over 4 inches in the scarf pattern, and used Kollage Toasty, a 100% wool, single-ply yarn.
