The Maui Poncho knits up fast on 10mm(15 US needles). It is knit, then sewn together - gathering up one edge - special care is required here to evenly ease the edge. I suggest measuring and then pinning the edge all the way along before hand sewing in place. For easing, pick up or weave your length of yarn 3 to 4 times in the gathered edge before securing to the other piece.
Beading the Fringe - The secret of working with beads and yarn is making the eye of the beading needle bigger. To do this, use a piece of firewire, dental floss or fly fishing leader and thread this through the needle eye. Tie it using an overhand knot such that you have created a loop that is connected to the needle. Thread the hemp yarn through the loop created and now you are ready to bead the fringe! Pattern has all this detail for you.

11 Kits are available at knittingkits.ca which include the hemp, glass and wood beads chosen to complement the hemp. Lots of colour choice. This pattern is one of the most loved by you of my collection.
