Maureen is an all-over lace sweater inspired by the beautiful garments of the 1940s! This design in particular came from an image of an original handknit sweater from the 1940s, and has been lovingly recreated here to incorporate modern knitting techniques, written & charted instructions, as well as delicate little puffed sleeves indicative of the era! Maureen opens at each shoulder with buttons, so it is a fabulous project to bust out some beauties from your button stash!

I would classify Maureen as an intermediate pattern. This sweater will require some knowledge of working lace in the round and flat, as well as areas where shaping & maintaining lacework simultaneously is necessary.

All my patterns are made using a body measurement x gauge system, which means that the garment is perfectly tailored to your body and is fully size inclusive! All the information on how to create this sweater and all the other patterns at Squid School are available exclusively at Squid’s School of Vintage Knitting! Come join in on the fun!
