Mauve and Dangerous is based on a scene from Doctor Who (Season 1, The Empty Child) that transpires in a London jazz club during World War II. The chanteuse in a white satin gown and fur stole is singing It Had to be You. While not intended to be a replica of her costume, this stole evokes the elegance and artistry of the singer and the desire to exhibit a touch of glamour even in the midst of a terrible war.

I have written one size, but included information for adjusting the overall length of the stole to accommodate any size.

Yarn: Two skeins WIPs on Sticks Lustre Sock 2-ply fingering weight (75% superwash merino, 20% nylon, 5% Stellina, 100 grams/ 438 yards) in the Mauve and Dangerous colorway. 130 grams/4.6 ounces (570 yards/521 meters) actual yardage.
One mini skein 25 grams/.9 ounces (110 yards/101 meters) Mauve and Dangerous Mini
Plus extra yarn for tassels.

Needles: size US 6 (4 mm) 36-inch circular needle
Size US 8 (5 mm) 36-inch circular needle
Size US 10 (6 mm) 36-inch circular needle
Size US 4 (3.5 mm) double point needles

Gauge: 21 sts/27 rows = 4 in (10 cm) over stockinette using size US 6 (4 mm) needles
