Max the dog knitting pattern is designed for intermediate level knitters. Most of the pieces of the toy are knitted in the round. A 6-page long tutorial with photos gives detailed instructions on how to knit Max the Dog and how to assemble. The pattern also includes instructions for the scarf.

Materials you will need to knit Mouse Alfie:

DK yarn in white, brown, yellow and a little black (weight and length given in the pattern)
7 double pointed knitting needles– size 3 mm (US size – 2.5, UK size – 11)
Mattress needle
Polyester or cotton for filling
Required skills: Casting on and off, Knit, purl, increase (m1r, ) – knitting in the round and flat, knit two or three stitches together, basic skills of sewing and embroidery.

The toy is around 35 cm (14 inches) long from tip of the head to the feet.
