The Maxine top is an urban chic, sleeveless an slightly oversized cropped top knitted from the top down.

This design is knitted in the round with increases on two sides. Then for several rows, the back and the front will be knitted flat and separately to create armholes.
After the desired length of armholes is achieved, you will connect in the round again.

Note that the increases will be situated in the middle front and middle back which will create a V-neckline and also causes the design to “dip” lower in front and back hem when you bind off.

Slightly oversized, this piece is nonchalantly chique and easy to wear. Since it is a cropped piece, wear a tank top underneath.

Note: You will start casting on with the 16” circular needle. As you progress in the pattern you will change to the 24” circular needle.

This pattern is distributed by Jade Sapphire and can also be purchased here on Ravelry.
