It’s a perfect shawl for lace beginners.
Easy to make and cozy to wear :-).
The shawl begins at the top center and is worked outwards to the lace border. The main body of the shawl is worked in Stockinette stitch. After completing the shawlโ€™s main body, you will begin the leaf lace (which is fully charted and written out). Finally, you will work a simple lace border.

Size
One size: approx. 150 cm/60โ€ wide and 75 cm/30โ€ long at center spine.

Yarn
3 balls of Eden Cottage Yarns Whitfell Chunky (100% baby alpaca; 100m/109y per100g) or any other chunky weight yarn, which gives you the correct gauge.

Needles
6.5 mm/US #10 circular needle (100 cm/40” long).
8 mm/US #11 circular needle (any length) for BO only.

Other
3 stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving, blocking pins.

Gauge
11 sts and 18 rows = 10 cm/4” in St st measured flat after wet blocking. The gauge isnโ€™t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
