This is my Maybelle Baby Blanket and I’m so so pleased with it and i have to say it has been the most enjoyable project. Quick, easy, high pretty factor and great satisfaction.

I have divided this project into 4 different segments and every segment can easily be made in one week, spending a casual 1-2 hours a day of crocheting. That means this blanket can be ready within 4-5 weeks, in a casual pace. That is fabulous!

Here are the different segments:
• Making Maybelle Flowers
• Making Maybelle flowers into Maybelle Squares
• Arranging & Joining your Maybelle Squares
• Making the Border & Edging

TOOLS NEEDED

  • Crochet hook 3.00 mm or adjusted to your tension.
  • Darning needles to weave in ends
  • Scissors

GOOD TO KNOW
If you are planning on making a different size keep in mind that cotton blankets tend to get heavy. I would use another type of yarn for a a King Size bed spread for sure. Also, to give you an idea of the yarn use this is what I have measured (depending on your tension of course…):
• Every flower takes approx. 5 g of yarn
• Every added square takes approx. 5 g of yarn
• Every joined square takes approx. 5 g of yarn
• The border takes approx. 15 g of each stripe and 25 g of joining color.
