I love updating older knitting traditions in my designs! This lovely comforting hug of a shawl is based on a traditional Shetland Hap Shawl.

Mayhaps is knit in Montana-grown Shetland wool lace. The inner triangle begins at the lower point and is worked up to the top edge, where it is bound off. Stitches are picked up around the lower edges of the triangle from loops created by the increase scheme. Subtle striping accents the waving stitch pattern on the shawl edging.
