Well I am no expert in colorwork but I did want to take a stab at it and I think I did well. So can you… just pick up your needles & favorite yarns and start knitting. Of course a cap would be an ideally sized project to begin the experiments. The following pattern is my second fairisle cap prototype and I am quite pleased with it. The body pattern reminds me of a maze, while the pattern at the crown reminds me of starburst.

The cap is made in one-piece from the bottom-up.
