The Mbu shawl (pronounced mm-boo) is an eye-catching triangle shawl. Simple lace stitches make this a fun project to knit and create a light and airy shawl. An ombré yarn really makes an impact with this pattern.

Mbu means soil or ground in Setswana, and in Botswana, the earth is rich with minerals and wildlife. This pattern is inspired by my experiences in Botswana and the love I have formed for this amazing place and the warm and loving friends I have made.
