Each bootie is worked flat from the ribbed cuff to the sole. The cuff has eyelets to interlace a crocheted cord.

The last row of stitches are placed on two separate needles and grafted together using the Kitchener Stitch.

The cord is a crocheted chain of a double-strand of yarn threaded through the eyelets. A pom-pom is secured at each end of the cord.

The crocheted cord and pom-poms can be replaced by a commercial ribbon laced through the eyelets.
