Knitting (derived from the word ‘knot’) is the process of using two of more needles to create a fabric made of a series of loops. Loops and loops and more loops makes something wearable.

MEADOW RECHARGE was designed as I was recovering from Covid for the 3rd time – the design process kept me excited, although I did have to put this jumper down a few times to recharge (hence the name), along with a smattering of crocheted flowers. Worked in double-knitting yarn; Merry O in two colours, although you can mix it up and use all sorts of colours and textures.

MEADOW RECHARGE can be knitted in multiple sizes. It is worked in the round from top down. You cast-on at the collar, the yoke is worked, sleeve stitches are placed on holder or waste yarn, the body is completed, then sleeves are worked last. If you would rather have two identical sleeves you can follow the instructions for whichever sleeve design you like. Also you can stop when you reach your desired length. I have added a striped rib but you could stop after the cable torso section and cast-off, or you can knit it longer and make a dress. I have added an array of crocheted flowers on the yoke section, which can be crocheted in a different colour(s) and/ or placed all over the jumper, or even omitted completely.
