The dainty all over knot pattern on this cardigan reminds me of fields of this sweater’s namesake, the Meadow Rue. It’s an easy pattern to remember and master and is perfect for someone new to knitting a garment with a textured pattern.

This versatile cardigan is knit from the bottom up, the slipped stitches on the hem cause it to form gentle scallops. Completed sleeves are attached and the sweater is knit as a raglan - no finishing! The button band and buttonholes are done as the sweater is knit.
