Pattern written for a single ball of either our Merino Lace or Shawl Balls

You will need a scale to divide your yarn ball in half. Optionally for a larger version use two balls of either the same color, contrasting colors or a solid with a gradient.

Suggested Needles:
Lace US 5, 3.75mm
Fingering US 6, 4mm

As written with single ball sizing:
Lace: Wingspan 48” and 18” deep
Fingering: Wingspan 44” and 15” deep

Gauge is not important, you will knit until you run out of yarn.

PLEASE NOTE: yes, there is an error in the earliest publication of this pattern. The correct instructions for the CC and MC RS rows after the positioning of the welts should say:

“{k to marker, sm, Kfb} twice, K to 1 st before next marker, Kfb, sm” rep from ” to ” one more time, K to 1 st before next marker, Kfb, sm, k to marker, sm, Kfb,{K to 1 st before next marker, Kfb, sm} twice, k3.
