Portable to knit and light and breezy to wear, Median has the essential elements of a great summer knit. The casual tank top has a lace panel running down the back in a contrasting color, and because it’s knit in pieces and seamed, you can pick the section to work on that best matches the amount of difficulty you’re looking for at the moment — attention grabbing lace or relaxing stockinette. The lace panel is knit separately at an open gauge and blocked to fit the length of the stockinette pieces. All pieces are knit from the bottom up, starting with the contrasting color at the bottom band. After they’re seamed together, stitches are picked up for the neckline and armhole bands. For the best fit, choose a size with 1-4 in / 3-10 cm of positive ease through the bust.
