Medieval Texting Gloves
The inspiration for this pattern is found in the beautiful art work known as plate armour (namely, the gauntlet) popular during the Medieval Period of European history.
I try to design my patterns to be easily altered to suit the crafter’s personality. You can make a wrist warmer by completing just the ribbing and bottom portion of the cuff. You can crochet the glove in all single crochets foregoing the (sc, tr) sequence. If working in the back loops is too annoying, work your sc through both loops. It will alter the look slightly, but will still maintain the structure of the glove. There are no rules here. The main goal, as always, is to enjoy the process! Use your imagination and explore the possibilities.
Note: the gauge and hook size are just suggestions; adjustments may be needed for proper sizing.
Correction: Row 5 of glove (not cuff) should read --- sc in each stitch, not sc in each sc
