Medieval Weirdo Hat is a long, floppy pixie cap with a button fastener. (Use a safety snap for smaller kids.) It’s very simple to knit, but has a couple of interesting technical details, including a one-row buttonhole.

Materials:
About 119 yards of Patons Roving Wool or a similar-but-softer substitute yarn
1 36” circular needle in US10.5/6.5mm, or size needed for gauge
Tapestry needle
1.5” button
Optional: thread specific to suit the button used.

Gauge:
Gauge is 12 sts and 24 rows over 4”/10cm in blocked garter stitch, worked flat. Please be sure to check your gauge.
