This elegant light shawl is a lovely accent piece to dress up an outfit or wear under a jacket. Its uncomplicated stitch pattern will showcase a solid or speckled yarn equally well. A quick and relaxing knit, it also makes a perfect gift.

FINISHED SIZE: 64” wide X 10” deep.

YARN: 350 yds fingering weight yarn.
Shown in Little Fox Yarn “Vixen” (80% superwash merino, 20% silk; 400 yds/100gr) - Mulberry.

NEEDLES: U.S. size 6 (4mm) 32” (80cm) circular needle.
Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge.

OTHER: Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

GAUGE: 18 sts/34 rows = 4” in Mesh Pattern, blocked.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. Techniques include cable cast on and German short rows.

CONSTRUCTION: Stitches are cast on for top edge of shawl and then worked in a mesh pattern, with German short rows creating the elongated triangular shape. A knitted on lace border finishes the bottom edge.
