A top-down sock with flap heel. The directions are based on stitch markers so they can be worked using double pointed needles, magic loop, or two circulars. The instep and front of the leg are cabled, and the back of the leg is worked in 1x1 rib to keep the sock taut.

The instructions in this pattern are based on stitch counts (around) and measurements (lengths) so it can accommodate a (small) variety of needle/yarn sizes and a (large) variety of foot sizes. Suggested gauge of 7-8 stitches/inch, and stitch counts range from 64 to 76 stitches around.

Included under “Techniques” section: cabling without a cable needle and links to grafting resources.
