These soft and thick socks are perfect for hiking boots or as super comfortable house socks. The yarn used in the sample is Craftsy’s Cloudborn - a combination of the highland superwash sock twist and the highland worsted. The two yarns are held together while knitting. So check your gauge with both yarns together. The contrast color is a second color of the highland worsted that gets swapped out for the cuff, heel, and toe. The yardage is given with this change of color in mind and is divided this way…. superwash sock twist - (2 skeins) 356 yards for all sizes. highland worsted in main color (1 skein) 221 yds in small and medium (2 skeins) 442 yds in large. 1 skein contrast color 221yds in all sizes. The directions call for knitting in the round using double point needles. Do your gauge with double point needles in the round to measure accurately.
