This is a free, basic mens sock pattern with a rib knit cuff. The instep is ribbed a little bit for fit and the sole is made up of garter stitches.

You can use any type of yarn that matches the gauge; I used Happy Feet by Plymouth Yarn. Feel free to make the cuff longer if you wish - I had 2 skeins and a good bit left over from the second skein, and I made size 11(US) socks.
