I searched and searched for a delicate scarf pattern I could make. I wanted something easy, not too detailed, but still beautiful. I finally decided to write one up of my own with this beautiful cream colored Merino yarn I had just purchased. It started to come together, and when I realized I couldn’t decide if I wanted a scarf or a cowl, I decided to edit the pattern to reflect that.

That’s right-you get THREE different pattern ideas in this! Instructions for how to make a long, lacy and delicate scarf, a small, dainty cowl, or a larger looped cowl-ALL included. They work up in about 2-3 hours, depending on which size and which item you are making. They make wonderful gifts, are great fashion accessories, and are big sellers at craft shows! Perfect for colder weather!

This pattern is written in American English terms, and uses crochet terms including chain, double crochet, and whip stitch. Gauge is not necessarily important, and you can use any weight yarn and size hook you would like! It is written for Merino/sport weight yarn, with a J hook, to give it that open lace look. But any sport weight, or even worsted weight with corresponding hook will look beautiful!

You are more than welcome to make and sell items from this pattern, but please use your own pictures-mine are copyrighted to me. Also, please leave a link to my pattern shop wherever your item may be posted.
