This is a soft baby blanket that features a mermaid motif sewn on separately.

As added help for the gauge, 2.5 fan and 2 V-stitch x 8 rows = 10cm using 3.5mm hook. The square measures 11cm using 3.5mm hook.

You will need:

6 balls of Baby Classic DK in the main blanket colour
4 balls each of Baby Classic DK for the other two colours in the squares

Also 4 balls of Baby Cotton Soft DK in the colours for the mermaid. There are also small amounts of Sky Blue and Mint used. If you have oddments of these colours you do not need to buy a new ball.

Tapestry needle for sewing up the pieces of the blanket and the mermaid and attaching the mermaid to the blanket.
