Mermaid Wristers

The 13th annual Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop took place at the beginning of April. Together, the 14 participating shops raised over $40,000 in donations for the local area food shelves, thanks to the generosity of fiber lovers! Well done, everyone!

These wristers sprang up from the depths of the ocean just in time to be a companion pattern to A Mermaid’s Tale Cowl, by Elizabeth Finn of Knitting from the Heart, in Woodbury, MN.

They were knit using approximately 40 grams (approximately 200 yards) of the remaining skein after knitting the cowl.

ANY fingering weight yarn will work for these wristers. Do you have some leftover fingering yarn from a shawl project? Try these wristers. They’re fast and fun! Beads are optional.

Gauge measures 6 sts./in. per inch in stockinette stitch.
The wristers are 7” long.

Materials
Approximately 40 grams of fingering weight yarn.
Size 4 double pointed needles. Yarn needle.
Approximately 100 TOHO brand 6/0 round seed beads.

Thank you to Kate for modeling.
