This works well with any worsted weight yarn -- though in my original sample photos the “frosting” round I chose to work in a variegated DK yarn double-stranded to give the appearance of “sprinkles” in my frosting.

Originally I had included beads to simulate cherries on top of each cake, but I removed them as they then made this a “hand wash only” item and I wanted this to be an easy to wear, easy-care item, but feel free to play with it, add your own interpretation on cherries if you wish, and feel free to sell anything you make using my pattern, just please make sure you give me credit for the original pattern and idea, thanks!
