The Mystery KAL has ended - I’d like to thank everyone for participating. If you missed it: the pattern is now available for purchase!

I believe that it is necessary to look for a positive side in everything!
Having to stay home can be a blessing in disguise - it sure was for me, giving me all this time to knit something new. In my pursuit of novelties, I decided to use a 4-stitch mesh knit pattern I know from other projects I’ve done. Little did I know, these stitches make something totally unique once you mix and match them. Based on the different combinations you get different mesh knit patterns that you can easily add for your next project.
They are great for those spring and summer projects you are working on to really add a slight and airy feeling, and can be used for so many different things like scarves, dresses, sweaters - the imagination is boundless!

Metamorphoses of Four Stitches” is a mystery knit-along (MKAL) that will keep you engaged from start to finish!
Different sections make it addictive and knit up quickly, and the finished item will add a wonderful highlight to your daily wardrobe.

The pattern includes 16 stitch patterns made by these 4 stitches: you only need to know how to knit, purl, yarn over, and double decrease that slants to the left (also known as SK2P) in order to make this light and delicate scarf.

It contains fully written instructions, stitch-maps, and charts, so you can choose which you prefer to work from.

YARN:
Designed for fine yarn 400 m / 437 yds in 100gr/3.5 oz. Each section is fully adjustable and works just as well for more/fewer yardage.
Yarn used for sample: Heritage Silk (fingering weight, 100 g = 400 m / 437 yds)

GAUGE & NEEDLES:
These are not critical for this project, but it will affect yardage requirements and the finished size.
Needles used for sample: 2.75 mm / US 2
The end result is a long scarf sampling many mesh stitch patterns.
