In the West Desert by the Great Salt Lake stands a minimalist sculpture that is the only vertical element in a strictly horizontal landscape. Karl Momen’s sculpture The Tree of Utah (Metaphor) stands as an other-worldly waypoint for travelers to Nevada. Its funky balls atop a concrete trunk seem to be shedding their skin with giant seed pods littering the ground.

These socks are knit large and slightly fulled to give them a softer look. The top is wide for larger calves but the sock can be made thigh-high to accommodate smaller calves.
