Method To My Madness by Mindy Ross

Method To My Madness

Okay ~ CALL ME CRAZY~ however…there IS a “Method To My Madness”!
This top-down Shawl ‘thingie’ (starting with a Garter Tab Cast On) is more traditional, than other Mindy Ross Designs! Just call this a “THINGIE OF A DIFFERENT SHAPE”!
This CRESCENT SHAPED design has two sizes, a small/medium (S/M) and a medium/larger. (M/L)
Stitches increase on RS Rows. Basic knowledge of stitches such as k2tog, yo, ssk, and S2KPO are helpful. With so many tutorials on the Internet today, these can easily be followed for a more precise description.
The coolest part about this pattern is that the design can be worn on either side, the edge tendrils float in such a way that as they drape, (right or wrong side), they look delightful.

Gauge isn’t critical, however larger needles will use more yarn to create your fabric. Plan accordingly, knowing you’ll need to add yarn yardage, depending on your choices.
Below are strictly suggestions for guidelines.
Some size elements from the ‘test’ knits are:
S/M approx. from 68-70in x 19-20in.
(173-178cm x 48-51cm)
M/L approx. 90in. x 25in.(289cm x 63.5cm)
Needle suggestions for fingering or lace weight is
US4 (3.5) US5 (3.75) US6 (4.0)

No beading information is given. If you choose to bead, please feel free to ‘make it your own’.

If you feel comfortable using stitch markers, please do. The pattern has a nice rhythm as you move along, the markers could become cumbersome.

A VERY SPECIAL “Thank You” to my ‘testers’ for this one!
