This cocoon style cardigan makes a bold statement with its modern billowy silhouette, and very cool offset stripe motif on the back. The marled texture is achieved by holding a contrasting strand of fingering weight yarn together with a DK weight yarn throughout. This technique brings cohesiveness to the design, and tones down the bold bright colors in the color-block stripes. The cardigan is meant to be worn open as a layering piece, and subtle shoulder shaping helps keep this flowing style from slipping off the shoulders. The cardigan is worked flat in two pieces, with seams down the center of the back and under the arms.
