The newborn photo prop pattern smocked Michelle Newborn Romper Shorties are adorable with a faux smocked stitch in front and a scoop neck with puffed short sleeves. Button closure on the back neck makes slipping baby into this little outfit easy and quick.

Makes a beautiful heirloom gift for your little loved one. It’s also a classic addition to your baby photo session stash!

Size: Newborn

130 yds medium (#4) weight yarn (I Love This Yarn ‘Menthe’)

Knitting Needles Size US 9
Crochet hook Size F (3.75 mm)

Gauge: 17 st x 22 rws = 4” in Stockinette

Pattern notes:
The onesie is worked starting below the shoulders in the back, up over the shoulders and then worked flat down the front, stopping just before legs are worked. Stitches for front are held aside while back of body is worked until just before legs are worked. Legs are then worked flat. The sleeves are picked up and added on after the body is finished. Sides and sleeves are then seamed. The top edge is picked up and added on last.
