The Mid-Winter collection is for that time of the year when we celebrate the falling of leaves from the trees and the beginning of those gorgeous jack-frosted mornings. To help bridge this season of change this collection set out to be a first warm layer between you and the outside. First up is some deliciously warm and squishy mittens or fingerless mittens depending on what you prefer.

I used a fun and fabulous grab bag of five skeins of DK-weight yarn from Fireweed. fiber co for the whole collection but you can use two colors if you want or even scraps (I wrote out the total gram usage for each pattern in the pattern so you can make a scrappy memory set if you want).

These mittens (and fingerless mittens variation) work up so fast you can make some for yourself in a weekend or if you’re in a pinch as a gift for the upcoming gift-giving season. There is a matching hat and cowl to this set using the same yarn coming out soon (or already out depending on when you have found this pattern).

If you want to make the mittens and sell them at craft sales and fairs please feel free to do so. Just remember to not sell the pattern as yours and if you remember I’d love the credit for the design work.

Ever thought about testing patterns? I’m always on the hunt for people who are interested in testing out future patterns. Please email me at amberdragundesigns@gmail.com use test knitting in the subject line and get added to the email list so you can see what upcoming patterns are in the works.
