Created as a back for the Rowan Midwinter Blanket knitalong for which I made two cushions. (fronts pictured)

My design is based on one of the Martin Storey designed snowflakes but enlarged to make a giant back.

Pattern designed to be knit in the round with a 9 stitch steek but could easily be knit flat if preferred.

I knit two backs at the same time with steeks separating them.

I changed colour every row and joined new colours in the centre of the steek so no sewing in of ends!!
