Miele (that in Italian means “honey”) is a top-down, circular yoke sweater featuring stranded colorwork.
Gradual increases are made in the yoke up to the sleeves that will be put on hold on a stitch holder or waste yarn and then picked up later. This way there will be no seams. Multicolor charts are distributed in the yoke, in the body and in the sleeves. The yoke is made up of a single chart that contains the increases. The sweater is proposed here in a cropped version (photo) but the pattern contains directions for knitting the body to a standard length.There are also instructions for 3 different sleeve lengths: short, elbow-length (in photo) or long. Choose the version you prefer!
Miele comes in 10 sizes (from 83 to 167 cm 32.6 to 65.7“ bust circumference). The size guide and the table on page 3 will help you choose the fit you prefer.
The sample in the photos is knit with in 100% Tingola wool yarn, hand dyed. Tingola sheep breed is a prestigious breed originally from the Val di Femme in Trentino, Italy. This particular breed, with its characteristic black-rimmed eyes, disappeared long ago but it has recently been reintroduced in those beautiful valleys. The yarn is strong, slightly “dry” to the touch and perfect for stranded knitting.
For the shapes and colors of Miele we were inspired by the wonderful world of bees.
This pattern is a small tribute to their invaluable work, so important to our planet. Save the bees !

Miele è lavorata in tondo dall’alto verso il basso, si eseguono degli aumenti graduali nello sprone fino ad arrivare alle maniche che verranno messe in sospeso su un filo per poi essere riprese successivamente.In questo modo non ci saranno cuciture. Questo modello è realizzato con la tecnica jacquard a più colori, le greche sono distribuite nello sprone nel corpo e anche nelle maniche.
Nello sprone si segue un unico schema che contiene gli aumenti. La maglia è proposta in versione crop (in foto) ma nel pattern ci sono anche le indicazione per realizzare una lunghezza standard nel corpo. Ci sono inoltre le indicazione per poter realizzare
3 diverse lunghezze nelle maniche: corte, al gomito (in foto) e lunghe. Scegli la versione che preferisci!
Nel pattern sono disponibili 10 taglie (da 83 a 167 cm di circonferenza busto), la guida alle taglie e la tabella a pag.3 ti aiuteranno a scegliere la vestibilitá che preferisci.
Abbiamo usato un filato
in 100% lana di pecora “Tingola” tinto a mano.
La pecora Tingola è una razza di pregio originaria della Val di Fiemme in Trentino, è riconoscibile per la particolarità di avere gli occhi cerchiati di nero, tempo fa era scomparsa ma recentemente è stata reintrodotta in queste splendide vallate e non si trova altrove. Il filato è molto resistente, leggermente secco, adatto alla lavorazione jacquard.
Per le forme e i colori ci siamo ispirate al meraviglioso mondo delle api. Questo pattern è un piccolo omaggio al loro inestimabile lavoro così importante per il nostro pianeta. Save the bees!
