It is written in 5 sizes, with instructions on how to increase/decrease the pattern size further if required.

The pattern is both fully written and charted.
As the pattern is written st by st and row by row, any yarn with appropriate needles (1-2 sizes smaller than suggested on yarn band) would be suitable. Obviously if different yarn is used then yardage would vary.
