Mindless Shawl is back! The original version published in 2011 was a simple kerchief-style shawlette. This updated version of Mindless Shawl is a full-size, triangular shawl with eyelet details and an easy-to-memorize applied border. The pattern includes information to make either the original kerchief or the full size.
The pattern provides percentages by weight, so you will know when to begin the applied border. Please be sure to weigh your yarn before beginning the project; especially if you are substituting for yarn in another gauge.
Mindless Shawl calls for lace weight yarn. The sample is knit using the gorgeous Ghost Light by Leading Men Fiber Arts. If you’ve shied away from lace weight, this might be the perfect first project to help you fall in love with the yarn (without getting all tangled up in complicated lace charts). If you prefer fingering weight, that’s no problem. Mindless Shawl could just as easily be knit using two 100 g skeins of fingering. Go up a needle size if you like. It will just turn out even bigger. This pattern was professionally tech edited.
