The pattern is for a foot / toe cover which was necessary after surgery as the surgical shoe provided left toes bare and the dogs would have licked the toes and possibly caused infection.

It can be used as an egg cosy pattern using finer yarns and hooks or can add a back strap and improvised sides to make a slipper.
