This is a quick little hat for some friends, who really love minions. Basic hat with no tricky color changes or intarsia. The surface details are all crocheted and sewn on afterward.

Skills needed:
Knit in the round, change color, circular and dpn knitting.
Crochet in the round, sc, hdc, dc, increasing, changing color.

There have been many complaints about sizing. To this I say, you need to get the gauge of 19 stitches per 4 inches and 24 rows per 4 inches . I do not agree that Caron Simply Soft is an Aran weight yarn as stated in Ravelry. I think it is closer to a heavy DK or Light worsted. If you you use Red Heart Super Saver or another truly Aran weight yarn, you will never get gauge and your hats will be huge. If you lay a strand of each side by side there is a noticeable difference in thickness.

This is a free pattern. Feel free to use your favorite basic hat pattern where your gauge matches your yarn and use the color changes as a guideline.

I will no longer be replying to messages about sizing and I do not intend to alter the pattern. This is a pattern that worked for me and I shared the pattern for free because I thought it was fun.
