A casual buttoned cowl, designed to be worn in a variety of ways. Quick to knit, to a length you love. One-skein makes a versatile length for a gift already made up or a kit for a beginner knitter. I used all but a couple inches of the 250 yards of the skein for this cowl.

Some of the stitches are done a bit differently; but none are difficult to follow the special instructions to achieve the textures shown.

You can wear this as a cowl (top pic), scarf (more than 1 skein), collar, hood or shawlette. The possibilities are endless & yet to be discovered. Last photo shows close-up of stitch detail.

Button choices can be simple or fun, you can back them with a small button or do as I did making a crocheted disc placed to backside of cowl.

You will use the I-cord cast-on & bind-off methods for a nice finished edge.

~~As you can see in the black/white version, it is difficult to see details in a busy color scheme. Works best with more solid or long change colors. This black/white was by special request & did serve to provide an example.

~~NOTE: Mittens are in the design works & will be forwarded to you upon completion as a part of your pattern purchase. They will be versatile also, as full mittens or fingerless, whichever you like best. Also, how to make into a hat.
